In this 5 week art club students will create a new piece of art each week with a guided drawing that allows each artist to use their own imagination. Creativity is always encouraged.
Artists may use their favorite medium to complete the project.
The club meets from 11:15 - 12:00 eastern.

Classes for Fall 2025 - Spring 2026

This is a 2 semester college prep level class designed for students in grades 9-12. It will move chronologically through British Literature from the Renaissance to the Post-modern Period. Nine famous British authors will be studies using novels, dramas, short stories and poetry. In addition to the 1 hour of class each week, students will be required to complete homework and a reading assignment each week. (Approximately 1 ½ - 2 ½ hours)
Classes will include discussion, written literary analysis, and vocabulary development. Grades will be given each semester for class participation, successful completion of weekly homework, an essay and a creative project presentation.
Classes:
This class meets on Thursdays from 1:30 – 2:30 eastern. There will be 26 total classes, 13 each semester. Fall dates are: September 4, 11, 18, 25 October 2, 9, 23, 30 November 6, 13, 20 December 4 and 11. There will be no class on October 16 (Fall Break) or November 27 (Thanksgiving Break) Spring dates are: January 22, 29 February 5, 12, 19, 26 March 5, 19, 26 April 2, 9, 16 and 23. There will be no class on March 12 (Spring Break)

This is a 2 semester class is for students in grades 9-12 who need to work on basic writing skills. Classes will include reading 1 full length novel and completing 2 essays and a creative project presentation each semester. Essay types include: Expository, Persuasive, and Literary Analysis. Classes will include book discussions, vocabulary development, and step by step writing exercises.

In addition to the 1 hour class, students will be required to complete homework each week. (Approximately 1 ½ - 2 ½ hours) This class is sufficient to meet High School ELA credit requirements but moves a little slower than a college prep level class. Grades will be given for class participation, successful completion of homework each week, essays, as well as the presentation of a creative project at the end of each semester.

Fall dates are: September 3, 10, 17, 24 October 1, 8, 22, 29 November 5, 12, 19 December 3 and 10. There is no class on October 15 (Fall Break) or November 26 (Thanksgiving Break). Spring dates are: January 21, 28 February 4, 11, 18, 25 March 4, 18, 25 April 1, 8, 15 and 22. There is no class on March 11 (Spring Break)

This is a 2 semester high school Art class. Topics covered include watercolor techniques, color theory, Art history, and principles of composition. In addition to the 60 minute class each week, students will be responsible for approximately 1.5 – 2 hours of homework. Grades will be given at the end of each semester based on participation, effort, craftsmanship and understanding the concepts. The class is sufficient for a year of fine arts credit.

(A student grade set of 12 -15 will work well)

Paper – Watercolor Paper size 9” X 12” approximately 40 sheets (Cold Pressed at least 120#)
