This fun online drawing club is for grades 4+. There are 2 different 5 week sessions. Each will include a new project every week. Directions will be provided, but there will be plenty of room for each artist to customize their work. Students my use whatever coloring supplies they like. Markers, Crayons and Colored pencils would all work. They can even combine them to make mixed media. The only required supplies are drawing paper, pencil, eraser and ruler. 
Just $30 per session or $50 for family of 2-3 students using the same device.
 
Meetings:
All meetings are from 1:30 - 2:20 eastern

Classes for Fall 2026 - Spring 2027

This is a 2 semester college prep level class designed for students in grades 9-12. It will explore literature and literary analysis using 8 full length novels as well as American poetry and short stories.  In addition to the 1 hour of class each week, students will be required to complete homework and a reading assignment each week (Approximately 1 ½ - 2 ½ hours). 

Classes will include discussions, written literary analysis, use of the MLA writing style and vocabulary development. Grades will be given each semester for: class participation, successful completion of weekly homework, two essays and a creative project presentation.

Classes:

This class meets on Thursdays from 1:30 – 2:30 eastern. There will be 26 total classes, 13 each semester. Fall dates are: Sept. 10, 17, 24 Oct. 1, 8, 22, 29 Nov. 5, 12, 19 Dec. 3,10 and 17. There will be no class on October 15 (Fall Break) or November 26 (Thanksgiving Break). Spring dates are: Jan. 14, 21, 28 Feb. 4, 11, 18, 25 Mar. 4, 18, 25 Apr. 1, 8 and 15. There will be no class on March 11 (Spring Break).

Class is Full

This is a 2 semester college-prep level class is for students in grades 9-12.  Classes will include reading 2 full length novels, completing 3 essays and a creative project presentation each semester. Essay types include:  Expository, Persuasive, Literary Analysis, Compare/Contrast as well as Editorial and Narrative writing. All writing will focus on MLA format.

In addition to the 1 hour class, students will be required to complete homework each week (Approximately 1 ½ - 2 ½ hours).  This class is sufficient to meet High School ELA credit requirements. Grades will be given for class participation, successful completion of homework each week, essays, as well as the presentation of a creative project at the end of each semester.   

 

Classes:

This class meets on Wednesdays from 2:30 – 3:30 eastern.  There will be 26 total classes, 13 each semester. Fall dates are: September 9, 16, 23, 30 October 7, 21, 28 November 4, 11, 18 December 2, 9 and 16. There is no class on October 14 (Fall Break) or November 25 (Thanksgiving Break). Spring dates are: January 13, 20, 27 February 3, 10, 17, 24 March 3, 17, 24, 31 April 7 and 14. There is no class on March 10 (Spring Break).

Comm & Public Speaking.jpg
This is a 2 semester class that includes lectures, interactive activities and student speeches. Each student will give 6 prepared speeches designed to inform or persuade as well as several impromptu speeches each semester. This provides an opportunity for even the most reluctant speaker to get more comfortable in front of the class. 

In addition to the one hour class each week, students will need to complete homework assignments and come prepared for class. This class meets High School English credit requirements and is suitable for both college prep and non-college prep students. Grades will be given for class participation, homework, and the presentation of both prepared and impromptu speeches.

 

Classes:

This class meets on Mondays from 11:00 am – 12:00 eastern. There will be 26 classes altogether, 13 each semester. Fall dates are: Aug. 31 Sept. 14, 21, 28 Oct. 5, 19, 26 Nov. 2, 9, 16, 30 Dec. 7 and 14 with no class on Sept. 7 (Labor Day) Oct. 12 (Fall Break) or Nov. 23 (Thanksgiving). Spring dates are: Jan. 11, 18, 25 Feb. 1, 8, 15, 22 Mar. 1, 15, 22, 29 Apr. 5 and 12 with no class on Mar. 8 (Spring Break).

Needed Supplies:

  • 3”X5” Index cards

  • Printed weekly handouts (to be filled out in class)

  • 3 ring folder or binder for all handouts, notes, and speech pre-writing

This is a 2 semester high school Art class sufficient to meet fine arts graduation requirements.  In the fall it will focus on the skills needed to create life-like paintings using colored pencil including techniques for building layers, underpainting, and burnishing. In the spring it switches to using watercolor pencils and works on new techniques and color theory.

In addition to the 60 minute class each week, students will be responsible for approximately 1.5 – 2 hours of homework. Grades will be given at the end of each semester based on participation, effort, use of new concepts and craftsmanship, not artistic ability.

This class meets on Thursdays from 2:45 – 3:45 eastern. There will be 26 classes altogether, 13 each semester. Fall dates are: Sept. 10, 17, 24 Oct. 1, 8, 22, 29  Nov. 5, 12, 19 Dec. 3, 10 and 17. There will be no class on October 15 (Fall Break) or November 26 (Thanksgiving Break) Spring dates are: Jan. 14, 21, 28 Feb. 4, 11, 18, 25  Mar. 4, 18, 25 Apr. 1, 8 and 15. Fall Supplies:

  • Pencil and good quality white vinyl eraser

  • A set of at least 24 Prismacolor colored pencils (Scholar grade or Premier grade)

  • Prismacolor pencil sharpener (Scholar grade or Premier grade)

  • Prismacolor Colorless Blender Pencil

  • 20-30 sheets of 8 ½” X 11” lightweight white cardstock (smooth texture, 67-90#)

  • 2-4 sheets of 8 ½” X 11” black cardstock (smooth texture, 67-90#)

 

Spring Supplies:

  • A set of at least 24 good quality watercolor colored pencils (Derwent, Arteza, or similar)

  • Size 4-6 round watercolor paintbrush

  • Size 8-10 round watercolor paintbrush

  • Paper towel and small water cup (yogurt cup or butter tub work great)

  • 20-30 sheets of heavy weight 9” X 12” smooth watercolor paper (120# - 140#)
